The fishery.
The stewiacke & Shubenacadie rivers which flow into the Bay of Fundy, are very unique rivers. The bay of Fundy is known for the highest tides in the world and these rivers are no different. The banks are very muddy and the water only has a few inches of visibility most of the time. What makes these rivers the most special (in our opinion) is the world class striped bass that inhabit them. Fish in the 20-30lb class aren't uncommon and the possibility of a fish pushing 40 pounds is possible any day on this river. Making this fishery world class!

Spring is a very special time for fishing in Nova Scotia. Beginning in mid april, pods of striped bass begin leaving Shubenacadie grand lake, and enter the upper Shubenacadie river to begin their yearly journey to their spring spawning grounds. This is when our striper season kicks off!

Beginning the first week of may, and running until mid June. These fish enter the stewiacke river for the spawn. During the month or so that these fish are in the stewiacke river, there are upwards of a million striped bass that enter a few kilometres of river to spawn.
